  • 8 Medium Apples (or 10 small apples), peeled + cubed
  • 1/4 c White Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 c Water

Crumble

  • 1 1/4 c Quick Cooking Oats (or rolled oats)
  • 1 1/4 c All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 c Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/4 c White Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 3/4 c Unsalted Butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop the apples into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Add the sugars, flour + cinnamon; mix. Pour in the water and mix everything until apples are evenly coated.
  • In a bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugars, cinnamon, salt, baking powder + melted butter. Mix well using a metal spoon (or your fingers) until the butter has soaked through the dry ingredients (about one minute of mixing or less). The texture should be crumbley. Sprinkle evenly over the apple filling.
